In this webpage you can find some useful data about the workshop
"Databases in Quantum Chemistry: Validation of methods and software,
and repositories of reference computational results", to be held on
September 22-24, 2010 at ZCAM, in Zaragoza, Spain.
The workshop is devoted to address the issues related to databasing in Quantum Chemistry. A number of international experts has been invited to discuss the more relevant points in a flexible set up, with the objective of reaching a consensus view about the degree of necessity of organized repositories of high-level quantum chemical data, as well as the technical problems associated to their design, construction and maintenance.
Taking place in the first year of the ZCAM, the Spanish node of the CECAM at Zaragoza, the workshop also aims to make the new center known among the regional, national and international scientific communities, and to start integrating its activities into the normal workflow of the researchers.
The organization of the workshop wishes to express their sorrow for the death of Luis Serrano, who greatly contributed to the preparation of this workshop as a member of its Scientific Committee.
